Sekinat Abdulrauf, a gifted writer, embarked on her mentoring journey
with the Richard George Foundation as part of the inaugural cohort.
Her experience within the Foundation was a remarkable story of continuous
growth. Today, we celebrate her achievement as she
takes the next step in her journey- Sekinat has been welcomed on
board as a paid intern with a prestigious international publishing organization.
This accomplishment stands as a testament to her dedication,
the impact of mentorship, and the bright
future that lies ahead.

street and at the Richard George Foundation, our mentors
as well as mentees experience "tremendous transformation"

I am fortunate to have interacted with Richard George during an online
session about 10 critical keys to unlocking potential and achieving
greatness. His mentoring is focused on exploring potentials within,
which is a far more important thing to be shared in this era as people
are not trying to explore their inner and natural core
competencies instead many of them are just following the
others. He also clarifies the greatness within us, which he
directs towards being a human first. Greatness doesn’t come from the
fame or money one has but from his acts and deeds. I wish him
all the very best for his mission to awake people and lead a joyful
life rather than a mechanical life.

As an old student of Hussey college, Warri where Richard also
completed his secondary education, it gives me great joy to see
this foundation birthed. The custom and practice is to often build
structures. It is great but investing in people through
mentorship and role model values is what this young generation of
Nigerians need to become responsible citizens.
